It takes an almighty effort to insult and offend millions of people on a daily basis, ranging from adolescents to global leaders including Putin, Prime Minister of Greenland Egarde, Mark Carney – Canada’s leader – and the royal family of Denmark. Yet even old Pumpkin head can’t keep up this level of effrontery and so today he was ranting on specifically about the most bullet proof of his perceived enemies.
You see Putin doesn’t care about being threatened and takes no personal offence. In some ways he is the least dangerous of the usual suspects for a Trumpian tirade. The dummies Trump spits out simply bounce off him because one senses he knows something that the US President doesn’t. Hey, who of us doesn’t?
So on Sunday, there was Trump the broken record whinging on about Putin delaying the peace process. It’s like playing The Beatles ‘Revolution No 9’ backwards because you, like many in the late sixties think they’re being instructed by Satan. Only, one feels compelled to add, that he was repeating what other leaders like Sir Keir Starmer had been saying quite publicly last week. The penny had taken a while to drop so Trump saw Putin as an easy target who, thus far, has been elusive apart from spreading the myth that the Ukrainian war with Russia began sometime before Rasputin was giving spiritual guidance to the Tsarina.
It was admittedly a slow news day but the orange man baby made his usual vapid attempt to be top of the agenda. Cornelius is quietly plotting his escape from the Trump brain thus ensuring the dynamo running it is powered down. Once he is gone, Trump will be nothing more than a fat, oversized and demented orange bully, still trying to instil his will on others because long ago he couldn’t understand big words or how to switch off CAPS Lock on his device.
In Trump’s world, the old overused quote “doing the same thing again and again is the definition of madness” could sum up his behaviour but with the word “a wanker” replacing the last two words.
Trump went on from Sunday to continue venting his spleen with Russia, trying to force through a cease fire. And there is the problem with his ridiculous claims he could resolve the war within a day. He has quite clearly failed and merely made matters worse. Weeks ago he wanted an end to the conflict and bragged about it. But now he’s reduced to the hostilities reaching a ceasefire. Which Putin will inevitably break.
